Hillary’s Desperation

A reader, Jaybs, draws attention to the current desperation of the Hillary campaign:

"It was interesting that Hilary chose to find time on Wednesday to visit Michigan to press for the Re-Vote, to change the rules that she agreed, why because it does not fit her self interest.

Now we find out that the ten wealthy Democrats have offered to pay for a new presidential primary in Michigan — all have ties to Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Five of the donors are listed on Clinton’s campaign website as among her major fundraisers. All 10 have contributed to Clinton’s presidential or Senate campaigns or the races run by former president Bill Clinton, according to federal data compiled by the non-profit Center for Responsive Politics.

The Michigan re-vote donors — include New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, Baltimore Orioles owner Peter Angelos and financier Roger Altman — have offered to put up $12 million to pay for a new election in June. It is so good how the Rich love to stick together, I’m sure the Lobbyists will throw something in as well, how helpful!"

Things aren’t looking good for Hillary, but if this election has taught us anything it’s that anything can happen in politics.

The good news is that Hilary now has a new Big Backer endorsing her, Dennis Hof, owner of Nevada’s Moonlight Bunny Ranch Brothel. said on radio show “Dr. Blogstein’s Radio Happy Hour,” - “It’s amazing to me that there is one woman in America who would not vote for her. Whether you like Hilary or not, this is going to change the women’s movement in America.”

A man who runs a fine business like this must know how much the women’s movement needs changing. I wonder if Clinton will distance herself from Hof in the way Barack Obama quickly did with Louis Farrakhan, but her spokesman so far today has made no comment?

Well, you certainly come up with some very interesting ‘news’ - Seeing as how H has always ’stood by her man’, maybe, just maybe one of his ‘little places of entertainment’ feel it’s only right to support her!?!
Is this likely to hit the mainstream US TV stations? - I know I am going to sound somewhat ‘bitchy’ here, but, it would be absolutely hilarious if Bill O’Reilly on Fox got all indignant over it :-))

Another thing, just because women work in places like the Moonlight Bunny Ranch, it does not mean they are emancipated, any working girl/lady I have ever met were doing it for the money, not because they felt empowered by any women’s movement….. and as for Dennis Hof, he would be better to spend his money providing something useful in his community (and I don’t mean Hilary..)
I look forward to hearing what a her spokesperson has to say.
I saw Obama’s speach today from,I think, Virginia?
Sky news ran it live earlier. It was really good.

Of course Senator Mcain may yet be President - do I like him? I think I may well would should I ever meet him (not likely), do I agree with all of his Politics? - Absolutely NOT (I was against the Iraq war) - Do I think he is an honest and honourable man? - Yes I do - but, as a British Conservative (who voted for David C from the start), I can honestly say were I an American I would not vote for him - Obama says what he means - and I really hope he gets the chance to act on his words.

ps How do you know he would be ‘p*ss poor’ in power? - he has never yet had the chance to “show his mettle” - so enough profanity, grow up, and at least try and put in some decent rhetoric as to why you do not like the man…

Jolly Jo- to like Obama is to be ‘kool’. Y’know, he’s black,and young, hence he’s-right on! You say Obama says what he means. I could not agree more. He hasn’t said very much. His enigmatic silence towards a certain U.S pastor tells us a LOT more than his previous ‘policy’ statements (the corker on the middle east or Afghanistan;same thing to me). I can gather that he will be piss-poor in power by analysing what he has said- and what he hasn’t said Jo. I prefer Hillers. At least you KNOW what you will get. So, if Obama wins the democratic nomination be pleased that you can consider yourself to be ‘kool’.

Simon - so you think I’m a “kool(aid)” type eh?, I must tell my grandkids next time they accuse me of being “old fashioned & mean”.
I consider Hillary to be wanting the Presidency for herself because she thinks she deserves it - If i met her I don’t think I would ‘like her’ much either - She is a divisive sort, who accepted staying married to a man who could not keep his pants zipped up - (i’d give my husband a chance but reapeatadly) - and she can put on the ’sob job’ when needed - who needs that in a crisis? - Obama is the real deal - I truly believe that - you can believe what you like but please look at the following for some context.

Jolly Jo- whenever i see Obama-i see Bliar. It can’t be helped! I think Hillers is fab! I really think she’s a ‘post-modern feminist, who likes the odd Mills & Boon’. In other words, she’s a bit of a contradiction. And another plus for Hillers- she sends the ‘religious right’ crazy! Anyway, she must have a sense of humour -like yourself- to give the Old Cigar chance after chance!

Oh Simon,
A ‘post modern feminist’ eh? - I cannot agree with you - All I can say is, I think she is a ’serial lying fantasist’, who wants the Presidency for herself no more no less.
I like the expression ‘Old Cigar’, I am guessing you mean Bubba Bill?. As a woman I honestly believe that Hillary has colluded with the man’s ‘infidelities’ to suit her own ambition. People underestimate her to their peril. Americans should beware of her they deserve much better.
The only thing ‘Hillers’ truly cares about is ‘HERSELF’. Never trust a woman who can turn on the ’sob job’ to order.
Obama is not like Bliar - I cannot, for the life of me see it! - I do, however, see many similarities with David Cameron - they would work well off each other. Hillary, on the other hand would use every opportunity to undermine him.

In the end though Simon, our opinion doesn’t really matter does it? I presume that you, like me, are not in the position to vote in an American election - I can make a difference here though, and will continue to back David Cameron’s push for change that I believe in. If that sounds Obama ish it was not intended as such, but then again, perhaps I am wearing my ‘Freudian slip’ today?
